Photochromic pigment
Scope of application
Description:
Photochromic pigment is a powder pigment, the particle size is 3-12 microns.
Photochromic color change occurs from exposure to UV rays or sunlight. White powder does not change color when exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet rays. And this process can be reproduced an infinite number of times.
Photochromic pigments dissolve well in water, as well as inks, paints, and mix well with oil bases.
We recommend applying on a white or light-colored substrate.
A shelf life of 12 months is guaranteed, provided that the material is stored in a cool and dark place. Storage longer than 12 months is not recommended.
Photochromic pigments are very sensitive to solvents, pH. It should be noted that there are differences in the manufacture of different colors, so each must be carefully tested before commercial use. Photochromic pigments have excellent storage stability away from heat and light sources. Store below 25℃. Do not let it freeze as this may damage the photochromic capsules. Long-term exposure to UV radiation can destroy photochromic capsules and affect the ability to change color. Therefore, the photochromic coating must be covered with a varnish with a UV filter.
